An Ouyue Music performance was staged at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on March 13. Also known as bowl music, the music is played through the striking of ceramic wares and was popular among refined scholars during the mid and late Tang Dynasty (618-907), but declined in popularity the following millennium.
