Winter sports blossom among Ningxia youth

Children in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region enjoy the excitement of alpine skiing inspired by the Beijing 2020 Winter Olympics.

On Feb 17, a sunny day, Ma Tianhao and his friends from Jingyuan No 1 Middle School in Ningxia's Jingyuan county arrived at the Yahao Ski Resort on the Liupan Mountain in the afternoon, donned their sports equipment, had a warm-up and began practicing.

It took just 28 seconds for Ma to ski down the 500-meter ski track, which made him champion of men's team at the 16th alpine skiing competition of Ningxia in January.
