To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the museum of the Summer Palace in Beijing opened an exhibit on Jan 28, showcasing around 230 jade items with animal and plant themes dating from the Shang Dynasty (c. 16th century-11th century BC) to the early 20th century. Exquisite jade artifacts are rare but they’re well represented in this exhibit. Appreciate them here!
