China is endowed with lush mountains and lucid waters. As the folksy saying goes: “Intelligent people like the rivers and benevolent people like the mountains”. The landscape theme is a major genre in Chinese paintings.
The Liaoning Museum displayed 66 hanging-scroll-landscape paintings dating from the Liao Dynasty (916-1125) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), showcasing their distinct artistic charm.
