Produced by the Jingju Theater Company of Beijing, the modern Peking Opera piece Broadsword Wang Wu (Dadao Wang Wu) made its debut in Beijing on Dec 18 and 19. It is based on the life story of Wang Zhengyi (1854-1900), a kung fu master known for his chivalry during the Hundred Days' Reform in 1898. The production has electrifying fight choreography.
