BEIJING — China's Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, has upgraded its mobile mini-program for the first time to offer better digital services for internet users, according to the museum on Dec 21.
The new version can help visitors flexibly adjust their tour routes and choose off-peak travel times by providing visiting information for major scenic spots, the museum said.
The mini-program now also has new functions to efficiently guide visually impaired and elderly users to key information on their screens, and provide guidance on barrier-free routes and museum facilities, it said.
China's Palace Museum launched its first integrated mobile mini-program in July 2020.
