Dongnian Festival, also known as the Dong people’s New Year celebration, usually starts on the first day of the eleventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar. They will reunite with family members, celebrate the year's harvest, and sing songs to pay homage to their ancestors.

This year's Dongnian Festival falls on Dec 4. The Dong girls dressed up and took part in a festival parade to display their colorful costumes. Photos taken on Dec 5, Guizhou province.
