Born in a powerful Manchu family, Nalan Xingde (1655-85) was famed for his ci poetry in the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Based on his life story, the dance drama First Sight Forever will be staged at the Tianqiao Theater from Oct 28 to 30.
