Shipments in China's wearable device market hit 36.14 million units in the second quarter of this year, marking a year-on-year increase of 33.7 percent according to market research company International Data Corp.
Among them, the shipment of ear-worn devices was 19.96 million units, a year-on-year increase of 58.2 percent. Smart watch market shipments were 9.66 million units, a year-on-year increase of 30.2 percent, and bracelet market shipments were 6.41 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 5 percent.
IDC predicted China's wearable market will usher in fiercer competition in the second half of this year.
