Are you up on the history of Suzhou, a city famed for its highly developed trade industry and rich cultural legacy in East China’s Jiangsu province? The newly-opened western branch of Suzhou Museum has set the theme of its inaugural exhibition on city’s history.

Through over 1,200 cultural relics, including archaeological discoveries over past decades, the exhibition helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of the city's history, tracing its transformation from a regional political center into a place of prosperous business and fine culture.
