Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong province, was one of the first places in China where watercolor paintings were introduced. A new exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing showcases over 200 Qingdao watercolor paintings by over 100 artists to chronicle the art form’s development and achievements in the city.
