Panwan, or Wrist Rotations, is a vital element of classical Chinese dance.
Today, Hu Yang, a top dancer from China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater, will demonstrate how to train your wrists.
Based on the lifting and sinking set from the previous class, rotate the wrists following the idea of three alignments (shoulder-hip, elbow-knee and hand-feet alignment) and three circles (horizontal, vertical and figure-8 circles). Cross and rotate your arms, relax and blend into the natural flow of the body.
