Produced by the Gansu Provincial Drama Troupe, the original production Eight Steps of Sand was recently in rehearsals in Lanzhou, Northwest China’s Gansu province. It is based on the moving story of the heroes making great contributions to the anti-desertification project in Gulang county in the province’s Wuwei city.
