The Palace Museum houses a large vase with variegated glazes from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The masterful vase integrates the most precious glazes invented from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) to the Qing. With 17 kinds of glazes, it is the largest porcelain with the most variety of glazes and the most complicated porcelain production techniques among those fired by official kilns.
The vase is displayed in the Museum's Ceramics Gallery in the Hall of Martial Valor (Wu Yingdian).
