The A Date with China international media tour group visited Atlas Silk Handicraft in Hotan, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on May 23.
Atlas silk is a traditional type of Xinjiang silk and Atlas means "graceful" in the Uygur language.
Atlas silk is made through a complicated process and known for its softness, lightness and bright-colored patterns.
