BEIJING -- Procuratorial organs across China are required to review wrongful convictions that have been corrected since 2018.
The request was made at a Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) meeting on Tuesday.
The SPP urged improving the mechanism for correcting wrongful convictions and for judicial accountability of responsible persons.
Cases involving negligence, duty dereliction, or serious statutory faults shall be investigated, and the guilty shall be held accountable, it said.
