Located in the Pudong New Area and covering over 38,000 square meters, the Shanghai Planetarium is expected to become the largest in the world and is scheduled to begin trial operations in June.
The planetarium includes a main building and ancillary facilities such as an exploration center for youth and two observatories, helping visitors gain "eyes-on" scientific knowledge of astronomy.
