Floating chunks of ice on the Yellow River were captured by photographers recently in Helan county, Ningxia Hui autonomous region. In the sunshine, some pieces dazzled like frozen flowers.

It was the first floating ice to be seen on the Yellow River in Ningxia this season. Authorities have increased their observations to fully master the seasonal changes of the river, with a view toward preventing floods.
