Miao women showcase handicraft techniques

More than 60 women of the Miao ethnic group showcased their skills on Saturday at an embroidery and batik skills competition held in Danzhai county in Guizhou province.

Embroidery and batik are important traditional crafts in the county, and most women are taught at an early age. The competition is held to exchange traditional handicraft skills and promote the inheritance of intangible culture.
