Remote school follows university club model

An ethnic middle school in mountainous Taijiang county in Guizhou province's Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture offers a wealth of club activities — including animation, dance, guitar and basketball — all of which bring happiness to the lives of students.

It started in 2017, when a postgraduate teaching team from Zhejiang University came to the school to support education. In the process of interacting with the students, the team found the children full of curiosity and yearning for the rich life of a university.

Coordinating with the school, the team introduced a wave of activities modeled on those of university clubs.
