The Chinese culture authority vowed to take measures to boost the performing arts market as the COVID-19 epidemic has waned in the country.
Efforts should be made to improve the efficiency of cultural project approvals and lower the market access for foreign investment, said the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in a guideline on boosting the performing arts market.
The aim is to optimize the business environment for performing arts entities and better meet the public's diverse needs for cultural and intellectual products, said the ministry.
Local authorities are also encouraged to procure performing arts products and services and issue vouchers to boost cultural consumption, according to the document.
