The symphony orchestra concert of Yellow River Cantata
In 1939, famed Chinese composer Xian Xinghai created the legendary Yellow River Cantata, which fueled patriotism during the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931-45).
In 2019, 80 years after the debut of Xian’s masterpiece, the China National Symphony Orchestra rehearsed it with the highest artistic standards in the country to pay tribute to the composer, as well to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
