The China Coast Guard recently increased its presence on the seas around the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and built up a security control network. Since the operation began, it has severely cracked down on illegal and criminal activities on the waters, including 172 smuggling cases, 10 illegal immigration cases, 33 cases of illegal sand mining and 65 public security cases, creating a safe and stable environment for the Greater Bay Area.
