New year Peking opera gala to be held in Beijing

BEIJING - A Peking opera gala celebrating the New Year is scheduled to hit the stage of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan 1, 2020.
Performances highlighting distinctive characteristics of different performing schools will be presented by young performers representing the five major schools of Peking opera.
Audiences will also enjoy well-known opera selections performed by renowned artists including Ye Shaolan, Zhao Baoxiu and Yu Kuizhi.
The event is hosted by the Beijing Performance and Arts Group.
