Ancient rice region in Ningxia welcomes bumper harvest

The Ningxia Yellow River Irrigation Zone is an ancient rice planting area in Northern China. The rice farming began here in the second half of the sixth century and has a history of more than 1,400 years. In October, a patch of rice fields turned golden and the air was fragrant with the smell of rice.
