An international paper art biennale opened Tuesday at Fengxian Museum in Shanghai.
Titled "feasts on paper," the biennale will showcase more than 100 paper artworks by artists from over 30 countries and regions, featuring works with Chinese cultural elements, new techniques, as well as contemporary concepts.
The biennale is an international platform for cultural exchange through the medium of paper art, according to the organizers of the exhibition, which include the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts and Korean Cultural Center.
An international symposium on paper art will also be held during the biennale, which will run through Nov 10.
