Day Six: Finding one to two interesting places and having a good rest

After traveling for so many days, you may feel tired. So, on your last day in Kunming, you can choose one or two places that you are really interested in near the Kunming Changshui International Airport and have a good rest before your next journey.

Local Food Recommendations 

Kunming cuisines feature the cooking styles of 25 local ethnic groups with the major ingredients potatoes, pork and vegetables. With high humidity and mild temperatures, Kunming provides abundant fresh fruits and vegetables all year round. Here are some representative dishes.

Crossing-the-bridge Noodles (过桥米线)

Rice noodles are popular among local residents, and the nationally renowned crossing-the-bridge noodles is a must-try snack food in Kunming. Legend has it that a wife prepared the noodles for her husband every day and she had to cross a bridge to take it to the hard-working man. Hence the name: crossing-the-bridge noodles.

The dish is a rice noodle soup mixed with pork, chicken and vegetables. Visitors can eat authentic crossing-the-bridge noodles in many chain restaurants in Kunming, such as Qiaoxiangyuan (桥香园) and Jianxinyuan (建新园).
