Major port sees surge in ro-ro car exports

Ningbo-Zhoushan port in East China's Zhejiang province saw roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) car exports through the port reach 10,000 on March 5, according to the port, with most taking place this year.

A ship carrying 2,602 cars left the port for Malaysia and Israel that day.

Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has seen growing business from ro-ro car shipping over the years, and will continue to tap the market in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, said a port official.
