Hohhot's rail freight volume rises in 2018

Hohhot's railway freight volume, an indicator of economic activity, increased at an even more rapid pace during the past year, China Railway Hohhot Group announced on Jan 8.

As of Dec 26 2018, the city's railway carried a total of 200 million tonnes of freight, up 15.6 percent from a year earlier.

With the launch of more China Railway (CR) Express routes, Hohhot has established logistics links with European cities, helping dramatically increase freight volume.

The data, added to a series of indicators show a robust growth in the city's economy.
