Total passenger traffic at Baita Airport in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, rose by 18.6 percent year-on-year to a record of 280,091 this year during the National Day holiday.
Based on the traffic statistics from Carnoc.com, one of China's largest civil aviation web portals, the number of take-offs and landings increased by 5.25 percent to approximately 2,266.
With 41,618 passengers, October 1 was the busiest day at the Baita Airport during the holiday week.
The growth in passenger traffic at the airport was buoyed primarily by the strong gains in domestic traffic.
