BEIJING — China has issued a guideline to strengthen protection and utilization of cultural relics of revolutionary times.
The move is aimed at giving full play to the role of cultural relics in inspiring patriotism, fostering core socialist values, and encouraging the pursuit of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation, according to the guideline, released by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council.
Publicity and cultural relics departments from all provincial-level regions should run a thorough check on their cultural relics, and a list of national cultural relics of revolutionary times will be made public, said the guideline.
It also identified major projects from 2018 to 2022, including restoration of historical sites that witnessed the Party's development, in a bid to strengthen protection and utilization of cultural relics, and carry forward the cultural heritage.
