The Leshan Giant Buddha, also known as the "Lingyun Giant Buddha", is located at the meeting of the Dadu, Qingyi and Minjiang rivers.
It is a 71-tall stone Buddha on the summit of Mount Emei. It has the most inscriptions of any precipice Buddha in China.
Construction of the Buddha started in 713 and was completed in 803. The area is now one of Buddhism's holiest sites in China.
