Awards for protectors of cultural heritage

The State Administration of Cultural Heritage held a national-level meeting on Tuesday to honor outstanding local administrators and researchers.
The awards, also approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, were bestowed on 49 institutions and 28 individuals. And each individual award-winner got 20,000 yuan ($2,936).
Meanwhile, according to Liu Yuzhu, the director of SACH, consciousness about protecting cultural relics has grown in recent years, but difficulties remain.
