West Lake, located at the west of Hangzhou city, is one of the top ten scenic spots in China and is among the first batches of national key scenic sites. It is also the only lake cultural heritage from China that has entered the World Heritage List. 


The Qianjiang New Town, located on the east bank of Qiangtangjiang River, mother river of Hangzhou city and Zhejiang province, is being developed into a new central business district.

The 36km-long Hangzhou Bay Bridge is the longest ocean-crossing bridge in the world, spanning across the Hangzhou Bay on the East China Sea and crossing the Qiantang River at the Yangtze River Delta. 


The Jinghang Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the longest and biggest canal in the world.
