Situated in the northern part of Jiangxi province, Lushan Mountain is one of China's most renowned mountains.

The mountain covers 302 sq km, stretching 25 km long and about 20 km wide. There are more than 90 peaks, the tallest of which is Dahanyang Peak at 1,474 m.

Apart from its breathtaking natural scenery, Lushan is the birthplace of Chinese landscape poetry. Its role in China's political evolution is recorded in the famous Lushan Plenum.
