Qingtuan (green rice balls)
Qingtuan, or sweet green rice balls, is a Qingming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Day) food, usually used as an offering in ancestral rituals, with a light scent of grass. Qingtuans usually have red date paste or bean paste filling. The green color comes from mugwort juice that is added while kneading the dough.
