There are two rail lines running through Nanyang, including the north-south Jiaozuo–Liuzhou Railway and east-west Nanjing–Xi'an Railway, which connect Nanyang to Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Chongqing, and Yichang.
