Muslim Temple sits right outside Hohhot's old area and was built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing and is the biggest of its kind in the city. The Hui people built this grand facility after moving here from Xinjiang. It covers a 4,000-sq-m area and is meant to pay respect to the holy site of Mecca.
