Wuxi is a pivot on the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway. The Shanghai-Nanjing expressway and the Shanghai-Yixing expressway respectively lead locals to Shanghai and Nanjing. The Beijing-Shanghai expressway leads directly to Beijing and the Nanjing-Hangzhou expressway leads to Hangzhou. G104 and G312 National Roads pass through Wuxi. The total length of expressways in Wuxi is 4,189 kilometers, the density reaching 90.1 kilometers/hundred square kilometers. Wuxi has become one of the 54 best road transport centers in China.
