Lanterns are displayed to welcome the upcoming Lantern Festival at a plaza in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 25. Lantern Festival usually falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar, during which people typically eat tangyuan, glutinous rice balls filled with sweet red bean paste, sesame paste or peanut butter. At nighttime, streets are decorated with lanterns featuring riddles waiting to be solved. Firework displays are also expected to take place. [Photo/Xinhua]
