Yangzhou landmark freshens up with Spring Festival couplets

The Wanfu Bridge, a local landmark of Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, is adorned with large chunlian, or Spring Festival couplets on Feb 10. The couplets are red paper written with black or golden characters conveying auspicious meanings. Hanging them vertically on both sides of the bridge tower is a local tradition.
