Inner Mongolia autonomous region produced 845.59 million tons of coal and 1.74 million tons of crude oil in 2016. It also generated 394.98 billion kilowatts of electricity, an increase of 0.5 percent compared with last year. Out of that, wind power generation hit 1.38 billion kilowatts, contributing more than 50 percent of the nation’s total wind-generation power output.
