Located in the Hanggin Banner near the upper reaches of the Yellow River's main stream, the scenic area also covers part of Bayannur's Dengkou county and Alxa League's Alxa Left Banner. It is a national water control project scenic area that combines sightseeing, leisure, outdoor sports, and the popularization of ecological science.
