A team was organized by Nanyang's Road Maintenance and Management Office to paint traffic signs on non-motor vehicle lanes at the intersection of Renmin Road and Jianshe Road on July 10.
The white signs show up well against the lanes, and provide direct instruction to non-motor vehicles to separate from motor-vehicle traffic, ensuring a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of traffic.
In case of causing trouble for locals, all the work was scheduled after 8:00 pm to avoid rush hour traffic conditions.
Additional traffic signs will be painted on non-motor vehicle lanes in downtown Nanyang to improve traffic conditions and strengthen control over non-motor vehicles, said an executive from the Nanyang Traffic Control Detachment.
