Are there duty-free shops at airports in Beijing?

Yes. Duty-free shops are available at both of Beijing’s international airports –Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK, Terminal 2 and 3) and Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX). These shops offer products including cosmetics, cigarettes, wine and spirits, and luxury goods, and are open to travelers with boarding passes for entering or departing from the Chinese mainland.

Their operating hours vary depending on the shop’s location and type. Some shops open 24 hours a day, while others follow international flight schedules. It is highly recommended to check the opening hours in advance of your journey.

Both airports provide consignment services: items purchased at duty-free shops can be deposited at departure and collected upon return (ideal for returning passengers).
