Does China have multiple time zones like the United States?

Despite spanning approximately five geographical time zones, China officially operates on a single time zone across the entire country -- China Standard Time (CST), also known as Beijing Time (BJT). This time zone is eight hours ahead of UTC (UTC+08:00).

It means that clocks in all parts of China, from the eastern coast to the far western regions, are set to the same time. All official schedules, including transportation and government services, adhere to China Standard Time.
