The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ) was recently selected for the list of collaborative innovation development pilot units between high-tech zones and higher education institutions, jointly announced by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Jiangsu Education Department.

This recognition marks a significant milestone for NHIZ in the deep integration of sci-tech innovation with industrial innovation and in the coordinated development of science, technology, education, and talent.‌

In recent years, NHIZ has prioritized the development of its high-end intelligent equipment industry, attracting a cluster of leading enterprises including Square Technology, Tri Star, and Alpha ESS‌.

The zone currently hosts over 100 intelligent equipment manufacturers, with more than 70 enterprises above designated size, over 60 high-tech firms, and 19 provincial-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises‌. This robust industrial ecosystem provides a solid foundation for collaborative innovation.

Moving forward, NHIZ aims to deepen cooperation with Southeast University and Nantong University, promoting the coordinated development of advantageous industries and disciplines, and making a positive contribution to the province in advancing the integration of sci-tech and industrial innovation.
