Tongzhou district, Nantong, hosted the Industrial Innovation and Green Synergy Development Forum in Shanghai on April 25, with its Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ) shining at the event.

Tongzhou has secured ‌135 projects in 2025‌, attracting nearly ‌23 billion yuan ($3.16 billion)‌ in total investment. As the flagship of regional investment promotion in Tongzhou, NHIZ‌ has signed agreements for over ‌20 scientific innovation projects.

In collaboration with the National Data Bureau‌ and the Ministry of Science and Technology‌, NHIZ has established a ‌pre-screening database for innovation projects, providing ‌full-cycle services‌ for sectors such as biomedicine and semiconductors.

The ‌efficient services and comprehensive support have led to the launch of multiple projects. For example, the ‌Jinglan Biotech Co project progressed from initial investment intent to formal agreement in just ‌three months. A dedicated task force resolved 12 challenges faced by the company‌, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and environmental compliance.
