A children's paper-cutting-themed event was organized at the Yongxing Community in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) on April 6, guiding young participants into a vivid world of colors and patterns.

"Renowned for its delicate and dynamic style, Nantong paper-cutting embodies profound cultural significance through every creation," explained the volunteer instructor. Through vivid imagery and historical narratives, children learned about the art form's origins, artistic characteristics, and contemporary preservation efforts.

During the hands-on session, the children sketched simple motifs like animals and flowers using colored pencils. With careful instructor guidance, young hands used scissors to transform paper into vibrant works.

Yongxing plans to continue launching diverse traditional cultural activities as a community committed to cultural preservation. These initiatives aim to nurture children's understanding and appreciation of intangible cultural heritage from an early age, allowing the seeds of traditional culture to take root in young hearts and flourish across generations‌.
