Siasun Robot East China Industrial Base, located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), commenced operation on Dec 30, 2024.

The base serves as the regional headquarters for Shenyang Siasun Robot and Automation Co, with an investment of 400 million yuan ($54.8 million). It is expected to coordinate operations with subsidiaries across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, supporting the development of key industries in the Yangtze River Delta region.

As the first listed company in the field of robots, Siasun Robot has become a national-level industrial base for robots over decades of innovation. The company covers various business sectors, including core components of robots and system solutions for robots. It also provides technological solutions for industries such as new energy vehicles, semiconductors, and photovoltaics.

The reason for the project to operate in NETDA is the strong development of the city's advanced manufacturing industry, mainly NETDA's focus on promoting new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, healthcare, and new energy industries.
